BUTLER TRAINING – APPLIANCES AND BED LINEN

The South African Butler Academy prides itself on providing relevant training for modern and traditional homes.  Today at the Butler Academy we undergone an exceptional training class. The Butler Academy is a Training Laboratory whereby our students experience the best products and working with the best appliances.  Students have access to all of the tools and products of a fine home  / estate or hotel.

The Butlers receive demonstrations on the best linen, how to make a bed properly, how to iron correctly and how to choose the correct mattress for our clients homes.

The Butler Students step into the world of Bosch, Siemens, Smeg, AEG and Miele.  Laundry and Ironing skills is such an important part of being an exceptional butler.  The Butlers are trained by the above mentioned companies.

Kitchen appliances and the correct Vacuum Cleaners; Butlers are required to cook and clean, a master in the kitchen and above all a “sensai” housekeeper. Working with the essentials and understanding the equipment is vital.

With the demand for the “finer things in life” on the  increase and employing a Butler with the correct training; it is therefor imperative for our SABA Butlers to understand and respect our clients equipment, appliances and assist in making the correct choices when purchasing new appliances.

SPECIAL THANK YOU TO HIRSCH`S,  NARDO & ESPECIALLY TO MRS. HIRSCH FOR HER “EXCEPTIONAL” APPLIANCE TRAINING PROGRAMS AND INSPIRATION TO THE BUTLERS AND THE BUTLER ACADEMY!

Today, Wednesday the 27 February 2013 was on of the many highlights I personally have experience over the past seven weeks.

As acting head butler my morning began as usual rushing to get to class only to hit very slow moving traffic because the mist was very heavy in the Mother City today. So firstly, thank you to my fantastic class mates for having my back and standing in for me.

The quote for today by Barbara De Angelis: “Love and kindness are never wasted. They always make a difference. They bless the one who receives them and bless you, the giver.”

A mock “Terminology “exam was written to kick start off the morning with. So in full swing, we had an introduction to “Cigars”. I believe I was too eager and send the class down to meet before the time. Finally off to Hirsh’s. What a fantastic mega store to visit. Everything possible under one roof! We where taught all about fine cotton, Egyptian cotton and what makes a good quality linen. The preference and comfort of a good mattress , the variety of mattresses and beds on offer and the wonderful household appliances and gadgets out on offer – to make our future lives so much easier – so we can WO! Wow!
The message to take home is that we live in an electronic and a world of techno ledge era so dust your self off and get with it!!

Mrs Hirsh as always was the perfect host and gave us many words of encouragement and letting us in on the secret of success. It begins with you!!

A really wonderful day was had, a great lunch and gifts presented to us all by Mr Hirsh was truly unexpected and very much appreciated.

Thank you to Mrs Hirsh and her excellent team that made this day unforgettable!
