    Yachts?Yacht Butling!

We all have preconceived ideas of what working on a yacht means. As part of a crew, you are working/living with the same group of people 24/7, in a relatively confined space. Your job very quickly becomes your life, whether you choose it or not. Although it is extremely hard work, you will have many adventures, most of them in exotic destinations that most people will never get to visit. In one year you can visit the Caribbean, the US, the Mediterranean and Russia.

You will be able to view most areas from angles that no other tourists can, as you see most of it from the ocean – normally a spectacular view!! With all this, you will have to make some sacrifices, often a very big adjustment to many – especially people that have never worked on yachts. You give up a lot of your own personal space, normally share a cabin and bathroom with one or even two crew members, work strange and different hours (and many weekends!), a strict hierarchy is followed on board most yachts – only to name but a few.
